Factors Influencing Professional Quality of Life in Intensive Care Unit Nurses of University Hospitals

Purpose : This study aimed to identify the factors influencing professional quality of life intensive care unit (ICU) nurses working in university hospitals.Methods A survey was conducted on 171 ICU hospitals B City, South Korea. used Professional Quality Life instrument, which consists three subscales, namely, compassion satisfaction, burnout, and secondary traumatic stress. Data were analyzed using stepwise multiple regression analysis.Results Compassion satisfaction influenced by resilience, job innovation-oriented culture, these variables explained 37.1% variance satisfaction. Burnout a hierarchy-oriented 42.9% burnout. Secondary stress task-oriented culture 12.5% stress.Conclusion These findings suggest importance improving resilience enhance nurses. Moreover, creating an rather than hierarchical can effectively improve
